The Spiny Hill Turtle
I didn't realize the turtle that I saw during my last hike in the Penang National Park was an endangered species. It has been reported less visible in the wild now. The name's Spiny Hill Turtle and is a highly sorted pet in the western world and considered to be delicacy by rich Chinese. I don't know whether they make it up by claiming that eating of this turtle in China also one of reasons they become less in the wild. I don't eat exotic animal anyway. So next time you see this creature in the wild, remember they are endangered species and must be protected!
